Candace Bryan is a freelance writer based in New York City by way of Memphis, Tennessee. She attended St. John's College in Annapolis, where she studied philosophy, and after graduation began her career writing about the eternal questions that pertain to shoes and makeup.
These days you’ll find her wondering why Malcolm X never spoke at the New School, admitting she wears makeup even though she hates it, and having no regrets about gutting a fish even though she’s vegan now. That's just how she rolls.
When she’s not writing, Candace spends her time enjoying Nat King Cole, explaining the proper use of the subjunctive, and watching elephant documentaries.
