Candace Bryan

I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee where I spent 18 years listening to Elvis and eating (vegan) fried chicken. After high school, I moved to Annapolis, Maryland and studied philosophy at St. John's College.

I moved to New York City after graduating and worked as a writer for several years, for publications including Cosmopolitan, Vice, Allure, Mic, Vox, and many others. In May 2019, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue standup comedy.

Here's a photo of me with my esteemed colleague, Martin.

I have a wide array of digital content experience. I've worked extensively as a freelance writer producing original reporting, opinion writing, and a healthy amount of blogging, too.  I'm also a published children's book author!

I've worked as an editor and a consultant, developing editorial strategies and overseeing site management, as well as writing and editing digital content. I've been a content strategist, developing social media media plans for organic and paid campaigns, live events, content promotion, and influencer programs.

I've also done some fun social media odd jobs as a contractor, including managing a paid YouTube campaign for a big brand and running a Facebook campaign for a political nonprofit.
